As the government rolls out Air Travel Bubble with Singapore, lots of wanderlust and business traveller cannot wait to go abroad again. What should we do before departing from Hong Kong? We have gathered some information at your ease:

1. Inject Vaccines

All the departing citizen must be fully vaccinated. Vaccination is believe to be the core measure to curb the spread of COVID-19. Although it does not 100% guarantee immunity against the mutated coronavirus, it still provides a certain degree of protection. Therefore, having the visitors receive full vaccination before travelling to Singapore also secure the counter countries from getting infected cases. Besides, such requirement also adds enticement to boost the city’s inoculation drive.

2. Reveal 2 PCR Negative Testing Prove

Citizens should conduct the COVID-19 testing before & after departure in two cities, with 4 times in total, costing approximately HK$2,845 (S$485). The test in Hong Kong can be booked via designated local testing companies. Test result will be shown via QR code for verification. The test in Singapore is slightly more expensive due to the source of swabs, lab processing & test kits. After taking their test, the citizens should take private transport or a taxi to their declared accommodation and remain isolated there until their test results are confirmed to be negative. Remember to register and pay for your on-arrival COVID-19 PCR test prior to your departure to Singapore.

3. Hold Air Travel Pass Approval Letter

Air Travel Pass is required to enter Singapore. Travellers from Hong Kong to Singapore are required to fill in and submit the SG Arrival card within three days before arriving. It is to submit your health, travel history and accommodation declarations for official record.

Those who are short-term visitors (not citizens, permanent residents or long-term pass holders) need to apply for an Air Travel Pass between 7 to 30 days before their intended date of entry to Singapore.

4. Download TraceTogether Mobile App

This is the official tracking application introduced by the Singaporean government. It aims to collect location-based information regarding citizen's footprint and notify the mass about the infected area that needs to pay extra attention. It's a similar initiative as the "LeaveHomeSafe" app. Travellers must comply with existing public health and safe distancing measures in either city, such as mask wearing and restrictions on group gatherings.
